Quizzical Woman by Carol-Lois Haywood; charcoal on thin, brown paper, 11.5″ square

This woman Tifani may seem familiar: I have used her poses before as source material, for which she and her photographer-distributor were paid. I keep using her since her attitude and beauty keep on fascinating me.

I used some wrapping paper for support since the color tones matched her skin color in this photo so remarkably.

This post marks a change in what art will appear and how often. I have used up most of the old work images. Also, the medical and social limitations that I live with in my community reduce my creativity right now. And my mood is often still with the ‘Black Lives Matter’ theme, as you see again here in her dismayed, uneasy look. So I do what I must!

Other artworks based on Tifani are these. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
