My social art of 2018 is spurred by angst over the new President Trump’s style of policy and administration.

What should I feel? My politics say, Hate. But what if instead I look at these faces with a parent’s urge, to find something there to love.

That attitude made me focus on the eyes, looking there for some gentleness–or doubt–or some bit of vulnerability.
