Newly titled ‘Indiana in Diana’ will be part of the 98th Anniversary Art Exhibition at Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, CA, USA, during the month of November 2019. I learned today that my pastel portrait of a woman was accepted for this special event.

I think of her as my Mona Lisa/da Vinci tribute: an attempt to show a woman’s own world as well as her likeness in her portrait. I too am familiar with–the barns, bridges, creeks, hills, and youth camp–that make up her world in the region of central Indiana, USA.

*While the “Indiana” is correct place, her given name is not really “Diana”. Still I believe she shows some qualities of the Hunter Goddess by that name.
